Please meet our newest Faith Leaders at St Alban's for 2024-2025
October 2024
CAFOD club gives our Year 2 pupils the chance to get together weekly at lunchtimes and put their faith into action. Through games and mini projects, pupils in Selby class will learn about the wider world and take part in activities to reach people who urgently need our help.
This term, our target is to help more children to stay at school. World Gifts are a range of charity gifts that help transform lives! Did you know that £10 helps teach someone to read? £300 could teach a whole class to read! CAFOD club will be meeting over the next few weeks to plan and promote a whole school fundraising event in support of this cause.

Cafod Club updates...
Our dedicated CAFOD Club has been hard at work crafting beautiful handmade tree decorations to sell at the school Christmas Fayre. Their creativity and teamwork have shone through in every ornament, and all proceeds from the sales will go towards supporting much-needed future projects within the school. This initiative not only spreads festive cheer but also demonstrates the club's commitment to making a meaningful difference in our school community.

2023-2024

This week, CAFOD club have been preparing for the Big Lent Walk, creating posters to advertise the event and sticking them up around school for others to learn more about the big day! On Friday 22nd March 2024, St Alban's is supporting CAFOD and joining other schools around the country to help fight poverty in countries like Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan. Our aim is to walk 200 kilometers in total! Every £1 raised will help support an important cause.
