St. Alban’s Catholic Primary and Nursery School is a member of St Clare Catholic Trust and a school within in the Diocese of Hallam.
St. Alban’s provides distinctive Christ-centered, Catholic education for children of all faiths and those of none, aged 2+ to 11+ years, with priority being given to children who live and worship within the parish of St. Alban's, Denaby Main or Blessed English Martyrs, Mexborough.
School Nursery Admissions (Apply for a place in our School Nursery for children who are 2 and older for a pre-school place)

You can apply for a place in Nursery throughout the year and complete an application directly through St Alban's school. Please phone the School Office on 01709 862298 or email jane.hays@st-albans.doncaster.sch.uk
Please note that admission to St Alban’s does not guarantee admission to a Catholic High School, which has it's own admission policy.
In-Year Applications from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025
An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions application form online at Primary admissions - Doncaster Council

Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out in the admission arrangements for 2025/2026, will be applied.
Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.
If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list. Please see the admission arrangements for more details.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible. Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.
You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful. Further details are available at

Consultation for 26/27
We are consulting on our planned admissions arrangements for students/pupils applying for places in the academic year beginning September 2026. The consultation will run for 6 weeks from 1st October 2024 to 12th November 2024.
This consultation is taking place in line with the requirement to consult on admissions arrangements every seven years. There are no proposed changes to our admissions arrangements from the previous year.

Please ensure that if you want to share your views you do so by Tue 12th November 2024. After this date we will share all views with our Local Academy Committee to inform their decision on our admission arrangements. Arrangements will be published by 15th February 2025.
