As part of our extreme weather risk assessment, we ask that children come to school in their summer PE kits (NOT non uniform) on Monday and Tuesday next week - House colour short sleeved top and shorts with school trainers. Remember they must also bring labelled suncream to apply before lunch, a filled water bottle and a sun hat/cap.
Schools have not been advised to close but follow guidance which we are doing at St Alban’s and you can read this by clicking on the link below:
Children will be encouraged to drink lots of water throughout the day and be encouraged to sit in the shade intermittently when playing outside. With all of the above in place, children are expected in school on both days and non attendance due to the weather will not be authorised.
We have a planned a water fight for our House Team winners of the year, class attendance winners and 100% attendance winners on Monday afternoon and the earlier Summer Fayre on Tuesday afternoon so that our children can enjoy these two days at school despite the weather warning.
