Dangers associated with social media
Please click on the link below to take you to a recent story that was documented on the news and Panorama. Although the child involved was 13, we are aware that many of our children at St Alban’s use the social media websites listed in this story. As parents and carers, we must be vigilant and keep up to date with the latest online fads of which most exploit our children and can lead to devastating consequences.
We keep our eyes and ears open in school and teach children through the curriculum and in everyday life the dangers of social media as well as some of the advantages. If parents and carers do this at home, we can together keep our children safe. If you are aware of anything influencing our children online, please always report it to a member of staff at school so that we can teach and support our children to remain safe. Thank you, Mrs Ebsworth.
