Catholic life of our school

18 January 2021 (by Lindsey Ebsworth (LindseyEbsworth))

As part of our continuing distinctive catholic education here at St Alban's, we would like to share with all of our community, the collective worship and assemblies we will be engaging in remotely for the rest of this half-term.

Although classes have been individually engaging in weekly liturgies, we would like to move to whole school times so that as many children within St Alban's engage in whole school collective worship, albeit in different places at this time.  Below are the times that these sessions will happen, starting today.

Please join us within your homes, in a quiet room of your house and safely light a candle at the times listed below.  Your whole family can worship and reflect together using one class Team link.  (There will be different links on Wednesdays only for KS1/KS2).

Whole School Liturgy - 1.15 pm every Monday.

There will be a link posted on the class group Teams page to a children's liturgy each week focusing on the Gospel reading from Sunday.

KS1 (including FS2) and KS2 Assembly - 1.15 pm every Wednesday.

There will be a link posted on the class group Teams page to an Assembly link which will focus on a topical issue of the week.

Whole School Celebration Assembly - 1.15 pm (live) 1.45 pm (recording) every Friday.

There will be a link to a live recording, again on the class group Teams pages, of the celebration assembly lead by Mrs Ebsworth and Miss Brennan where we will share the great learning and behaviours of children who have gone the extra mile in school the previous week.

We look forward to seeing our families join us in worship and celebration!
