As we enter the final week of the school year, Kirkstall are completing some reflective activities about their time in Year 5 and looking forward towards the next school year.
Write a book review of one of our class books from this year - Wolf Brother, Street Child or The Spiderwick Chronicles.
Write an end of the year poem to celebrate all the great things you have done in Y5.
Think of 3 personal targets that you would like to work towards in Y6. Find a way to display them (it could be on a poster, pendant or word art) and hang it up in a place where you will see it regularly, so that it will remind you of what you are working towards.
Think about what your perfect summer holidays would look like and incorporate it into some artwork. Use the ideas below to help you.
Science Learning - Healthy Eating and Exercise (Beginning Monday 6th July)
This week, you will learn about how important a healthy diet and exercise are to our bodies. Use what you find out to help you with your Exciting Writing task.
Try keeping a journal of everything you eat this week to see if you are eating a healthy, balanced diet.
You could also keep a log of all the exercise you do this week and why not try taking your pulse before and after exercise to see what happens.
